Let’s face it, the world feels like a dystopian sci-fi movie right now. Wearing masks and constantly sanitising your hands is the new norm. When all this started, I dug out a hand sanitiser I keep in my travel beauty kit, and it left my hands dry and smelling like toilet spray. I hated it and immediately binned the offensive item. Then I felt bad about throwing away plastic.  

I create perfume and beauty products for brands, so I look for the best products on the market, they must have quality ingredients, look good and of course,  smell beautiful.  I couldn't find a sanitiser that I would buy or recommend to clients and friends, so I decided to create my own. I worked with a cosmetics formulator, a long term collaborator, to create a new kind of luxury hand sanitiser. One that is effective, will care for your hands and would offer a beautiful sensory experience. 

Having created perfume for Australian and international brands such as Cathay Pacific and Bombay Sapphire, and award winning beauty products for brands such as Sand+Sky, Coco and Eve and watched them go on to disrupt the industry and win awards, I am very excited to launch my own brand, Have A Nice Day Goods or H.A.N.D, as I like to call it. 

H.A.N.D contains 70% cane sugar bio ethanol, that’s above the 60% recommended by WHO in order for a hand sanitiser to be effective. It also has Hyaluronic Acid, Kangaroo Paw, aloe vera, panthenol and palm-free vegetal glycerine to hydrate your hands and protect them from the drying effects of the alcohol. 

I have carefully selected perfume grade essential oils that are antibacterial, gentle on the skin, and created scents that not only smell good, they either help calm or uplift you. I would like H.A.N.D to be a little luxury in our every day rituals, think of it as a sanitisting perfume that hydrates your hands. Our sense of smell is powerful, 75% of our emotions are generated by what we smell, a beautiful scent can change the way you feel and help you face the world. A little tip is to take a moment to inhale the fragrance after your hands have dried to really experience it. I firmly believe in the wonders of Australian native botanicals so I have included them in the formulas. I am a tragic rose addict, so naturally there is a rose scent.
